Presentation - The Puget Theniers Via Ferrata.

Located in Puget Théniers, the Via Ferrata of “Demoiselles du Castagnet” (or Castagnet ladies) was inaugurated by Patrick Berhault and Christian Estrosi. The highest point reaches 777 meters of altitude. The Puget Theniers via ferrata offers a charming middle mountain environment with unexpected overviews of the Var valley.

Difficulty : Medium.

In order to take part to this adventure, you need not to have dizziness. Beginners are accepted. However it is not recommended for children under 1m30cm high because they may have some issues during the activity.

The Planning of the Day

The Puget Theniers Via Ferrata starts with a rock climbing relatively simple. After around 30 meters of climbing, it is time to cross the cliff and to join a huge 40 meter-high Himalayan bridge. Then, you will have to climb a vertiginous pillar. The via Ferrata will make you cross the top of the climbing needles through some amazing climbing passages and a monkey-bar bridge. You will quickly arrive to the main passage with a dizzyingly high zip line which will provide you amazing sensations.

Where is the Puget Theniers via ferrata located?

The meeting point is located in Puget Théniers. The GPS coordinates of the parking lot are:
43.9548, 6.8914 (decimal degrees)
43°57'17.3"N 6°53'29.0"E (DMS).

From Puget Théniers, take the main road (D6202) in the Entreveaux direction. Just before crossing the railway track and the bridge upon the Var, take the road at your right. Continue to follow this road to a sign indicating the parking for thr via ferrata.
